Research Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony for CORE
Qingdao National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (QNLM) and HKUST jointly establish the Center for Ocean Research in Hong Kong and Macau (CORE)
On 3 Aug 2019, the Research Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony for Center of Ocean Research of Hong Kong and Macau (CORE) was held in Qingdao. Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao) (QNLM) joint the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), together with the University of Hong Kong (HKU), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and University of Macau (UM), to establish CORE to promote interdisciplinary research and collaborative innovation in regional oceans, and to enhance the integration and involvement of Hong Kong and Macau into national marine science and development strategy.
The Agreement Signing Ceremony was chaired by General Secretary from QNLM, Prof. PAN Kehou. Deputy Directors from QNLM Mr. ZHUANG Zhimeng and Provost from HKUST Prof. NI Lionel M. represent their own institute to sign the agreement.
