CORE 2022 funded project announcement
Aiming to develop world-class ocean research and promote the research collaboration in Hong Kong and Macau, CORE has built up a research theme of the regional earth system. After rigorous review and evaluation, CORE has funded 24 research projects for PIs from universities in Hong Kong and Macau in this year. The total funding amount for these projects is ~HKD$9.2 million for 2022-2023.
The funded projects cover whole spectrum of the regional earth system study, and include:
- Regional ocean and atmosphere dynamics, air-sea interaction;
- Regional ocean ecosystem and environmental processes, land-sea interactions;
- Regional coupled ocean-atmosphere-ecosystem-pollution-environment modelling system for climate simulation and forecasting;
- Ocean big data, information and applications;
