CORE Annual Research Symposium 2022

Despite COVID-19 pandemic, CORE has made great progress in our research. During the last fiscal year in 2021, CORE have sponsored several projects and we were pleased to see that these projects had made lots of great achievements.

In order to showcase these accomplishments, CORE organized an Annual Research Symposium on 13th & 14th January 2022 via Zoom for Project Leaders to present their projects. CORE also invited some other members to share their strength and ideas based on the major research directions of CORE in this symposium.

The advanced research strategies in CORE focuses on multi-sphere, multi-disciplinary regional earth system research in the following four major directions:

Regional Ocean and Atmospheric Dynamics
Regional Ocean Ecosystem and Environmental Processes
Regional Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere-Ecosystem-Pollution-Environment Modelling system for Climate Simulation and Forecasting
Ocean Big data, Information and Applications

The symposium attracted over 70 CORE members, scholars and researchers. It was a broad, dynamic and multidisciplinary symposium. The ideas, comments and contribution from the speakers and participants are invaluable to the success of the symposium.
